Not what I was expecting...

Bought the blade put it on and it cut me several times. (I've used trimmers for 10 bucks that cut smoother) Sent email to support with pics of my neck with cuts and they said they'd send me a new one to try. Never got new one and never got another reply. Not a great experience.

I’m not sure it’s worth it

I’ve owned the Brio Beardscape for almost a year now.

It’s been amazing and you have the 4 micro adjustments that you can make with any guard or with no guard. Having no guard on with the closest micro adjustment setting didn’t seem to be enough.

My skin is sensitive to shave unless the razor is brand new every time, so I thought this would be my answer. Well, the good news is that it doesn’t irritate my skin. The bad news is you have to use it every day or every other day to maintain a “somewhat” clean, well outlined shave.

When you compare this to the closest micro adjustment setting, you can barely tell a difference. I’m attaching a photo… one side is done with the original Beardscape micro adjust blade and the other side is done with the zero blade. (The rash is from petting my dog, not the blades)

All in all, the “zero” blade should be a closer cut and it should be INCLUDED with the $80-$100 Beardscape purchase… not just when they’re running Alpha M specials.

I’m upset that I spent $25 on it and do not recommend it.

Hi Peyton, sorry for the trouble. Neck hair can be difficult since it can swirl in many directions, on top of that it can be a very sensitive area for many people. To get a really close cut with the zero blade its best to cut against the grain (or the natural direction your hair grows). A good trick to figure this out is to rub the hair on your neck and see which direction feels more pokey. cutting in that direction will generally result in a closer cut. Again, this can be tricky on your neck because hair often grows in many different directions.
Another issue to note. If you are looking for a "near shaven" look, there aren't any methods that are going to last more than a day or two before looking a bit too long. This is just the nature of how facial hair grows (hence the term 5 o'clock shadow). The only solution here is laser removal.
We keep the Zero blade separate (most of the times) so we can offer the trimmer alone at a lower price.

Bought new, received used?

The clipper blade fit and finish was not what I would expect to receive as new. The finish was poor and appeared used. The blade does perform as expected.

Cuts well, but not as close as anticipated

This trimmer blade cuts well and definitely closer than the standard blade on the beardscape (which isn't that close). It attaches easily and runs smoothly and efficiently and I haven't really had any irritation or nicks from using.

That said, I would love for this blade to cut even closer. The marketing makes it seem that it cuts almost skin close and closer than could be achieved on most trimmers, but I have found that it cuts no closer than the trimmer on the back of my electric razor, which basically achieves a medium stubble look. The Philps Oneblade cuts significantly closer in case anyone has experience with that, but this is certainly more powerful and cuts a bit different than that razor. I'd love for an even closer blade to be developed for trimming the face and neckline especially. Attached is a photo of the actual cut length for reference.
